Andrew Lawrence - Class of 2005
 |
Andrew was a first team all-region 7-AAAA
offensive lineman during his junior and senior seasons at PCHS. He
was a three-year starter for the Patriots, and was a punishing
blocker. As a redshirt sophomore at Oklahoma State University,
Andrew is now listed as the second team center for the Cowboys.

Kearey McCauley - Class of 2005
 |
Kearey was a
two year starter at center for the Patriots, and was known for his
strong work ethic. Kearey played for two years on scholarship at
Shorter College as an offensive
lineman. |
Zach Walden - Class of 2004
|

Zach was a strong-legged place-kicker and punter
for the Patriots, earning first team all region 7-AAAA honors his
senior year. He was also one of the best soccer players in the
region. During the 2006 season at Jacksonville State University,
Zach earned OVC special teams player of the week honors on several
occasions. 2007 will mark his third season as the starting punter
for the Gamecocks. |
Josh Burton - Class of 2004

Josh was a
hard-nosed Linebacker for the Patriots, and earned first team
all-region 7-AAAA honors as a senior in 2003. That year he
recorded 105 total tackles, 14 for loss, with 6 sacks. He also
returned a fumble for a TD. After spending his freshman year at
the University of West Georgia, Josh transferred to Shorter
College where he saw significant playing time in 2006.

Brandon Wheeling - Class of 2004

Brandon was a fierce competitor while at PCHS.
He was a first team All-Region 7-AAAA defensive end as a senior,
recording 48 tackles with 10 for loss, 3 sacks and 3 fumble
recoveries. He transferred from Georgia Southern to the University
of West Georgia in 2005 and was redshirted that year. He is now in
his third year at UWG and listed on the depth chart as a first
team defensive end. |
Adam Carter - Class of 2003

Adam starred as a halfback and safety while at
PCHS. He signed with Maryville College and played at the wingback
position, and also returned kicks as a freshman in 2003. Adam
transferred to the University of West Georgia in January 2004 and
was their starting safety for two years, earning second team All
GSC honors as a senior in 2006. Adam is now an assistant coach for
the Patriots. |
Ron Dickson - Class of 2003

Ron was the Patriots' leading rusher in the 2002
season starting opposite Adam Carter in the wishbone backfield.
That year he had 1146 yds and 13 TDs rushing. Ron originally
signed with McKendree College in Illinois, but decided to walk on
at the University of West Georgia in 2004. He was redshirted for
the 2004 season, and is currently listed as a first team wide
receiver for the Wolves. |
Nathan Bennett - Class of 2002

Nathan was a punishing blocker while at PCHS,
helping lead the Patriots to the Georgia Dome for the semi-final
game of the 2001 class AAAA state playoffs. Nathan signed with
Clemson University, and was a four-year starter at offensive guard
for the Tigers. After an outstanding senior season, he earned
fisrt team All ACC honors in 2006. Nathan was signed as an
un-drafted free agent in May 2007 by the Carolina Panthers of the
NFL. |
E.L. Estes - Class of 2002
 |
E.L. was the leading rusher for the 2001 Region
6-AAAA Champion Patriots, and also started as a defensive back.
E.L. signed with Liberty University in 2003 and saw action in nine
games as a freshman defensive back for the Flames. After suffering
a concussion in the first game of the 2004 season, he came back
strong as a starting cornerback the next two years, earning second
team All Big South honors after his senior season in 2006.

John Loftin - Class of 1999

John was the
place kicker and punter for the Patriots while at PCHS, and was a
reserve place kicker for the University of Georgia Bulldogs from
1999 - 2002. |
Darius Outlaw - Class of 1999
 |
Darius was an
outstanding quarterback while at PCHS, and signed with the
University of Missouri. After playing two years under center for
the Tigers, he made the switch to WR in 2002. His career numbers
at Mizzou were 144 comp. / 309 att. for 1776 yds. passing with 12
TDs and 19 INTs; 139 carries for 370 yds. rushing with 5 TDs; and
86 catches for 950 yds. receiving with 7 TDs. After college Darius
played professionally as a QB in the German Football
League. |
Du'Shon Martin - Class of 1998

Du'Shon originally signed with Mississippi State, but
failed to qualify academically, so he enrolled at Middle Georgia
College where he excelled as a defensive back. He then attracted
the attention of several colleges, LSU and Iowa among them, but
settled on Appalacian State because it was much closer to home.
After a stellar two-year playing career at App. State, Du'Shon
signed with the NFL's Washington Redskins in April 2002 but failed
to catch on with a team the following
year.

Chad Talton - Class of 1996
| Chad played wide receiver as a freshman and
sophomore recording 1,500 yards receiving and scoring 20
touchdowns. In his senior season he rushed for 1231 yards and 21
TDs, and passed for 827 yards and 5 TDs as the team's quarterback.
He also recorded 26 tackles, 2 INTs, and 4 sacks while playing
strong safety. Chad set PCHS records for career touchdowns, total
yards, and single season rushing yards before going on to play for
the University of Georgia Bulldogs as a wide receiver.
